HOCKEY.

At Lansdowne, on Saturday afternoon last, the Tui Hockey Club playedta match with a team of 18 ladies, selected from the various lady clubs in Masterton. The following represented the Tui Club: — Goalkeeper, Olds; full-backs, Newton and Deane; halves, Rees, Truscott (captain), Clarke; forwards, Barrett. Cresswell, Brown, Tait and Wilton. The game was an interesting one. In the first half the Tuis had the best of the play. In the second spell nlay was very even. The Tuis showed good combination. The game resulted in a draw. 3 goals A each. Brown, Rees, and Tait scored '▼*■ goals for the Tuis, and Misses Hester, Richards and Barr scored for the ladies. Mr J. King was referee. The Tuis will play a match against the ladies again next Saturday.
