CENTRAL MOTOR GARAGE.

A PROGRESSIVE FIRM. The fine new brick building in Queen Street, which has been in the course of erection for some time past, to the order of Messrs T. Dwyer and Co., for their Central' Motor Garage, is now completed. The structure is built on the most modern lines, and no expense has been spared to bring it up-to-date in every detail. With the steady growth of the town and district and under the capable management of Messrs Dwyer and Co., who are determined to keep abreast of the times, a successful and prosperous career should be assurdd for the business. On entering the garage one is struck by its lofty and welllighted appearance, while the floor space is no less than 1,550 square feet. Ail the latest machinery for repair work has been installed, including drilling machines, a Frost and Harvey vulcaniser for tyres and tubes and a big lathe. In a central position, right opposite the main entrance, is a large turn-table, which is capable of manipulating the largest cars with perfect ease. A spacious fire-proof chamber has also been constructed for the storage of petrol. Special attention will also bp paid to retreading of tyres which the firm undertake to do efficiently and at the shortest notice. The services of two high-class mechanics have been obtained, both of whom have had considerable and varied experience at the trade. One special feature of the garage is the all night attendance, which should be greatly appreciated by motorists. The firm are also prepared to enter into private contracts for car maintenance. Full stocks of motor requisites are kept, including all Dunlop rubbers, every description of tyres, motor coats, caps, rugs and a variety of other lines too numerous to mention. The firm are agents for the wellknown and popular "Russell" and "Stuart" cars and they have landing early in September three very fine 16-horse power "Russell" cars. One of the shops in front of the I garage is devoted to the "Talkeries," which is a separate department of the'business. The "Talkerie3" is under the best management, and if anything is to be conducted on a bigger scale than before. All the best machines are stocked at prices to suit everyone. The firm never carry less than a stock of 1,000 records, which

embraces every description of vocal and instrumental pieces, so that the most fastidious person can make a thoroughly satisfactory selection. Attention is also paid to the repair of phonographs.
