MASTERTON COLLIE CLUB.
ANNUAL DOG TRIALS. The annual dog trials of the Masterton Collie Club were commenced at Lansdowne. yesterday, under very adverse circumstances, as tar as the weather was concerned. The day was wet and cold, but despite this fact there was a large attendance of shepherds, drovers and others interested. Some first-class dogs were competing, and competition was keen. The secretary, Mr G. R. Sykes, had all arrangements for the gathering complete. An excellent lunch was supplied by the Club. Only one class, that is, heading, bringing back and holding, was completed yesterday. The trials will be continued to-day. The following are the results of the competition yesterday:—
