AN EXCITING EXPERIENCE.

By Telegraph—Press Association. .AUCKLAND, June 26. Three .fishermen had an exciting time, about 7.30 o'clock, last night.. They were in the fishing boat Hinernoa, and by some means ran into a pile which it is stated was just awash where the railway wharf is being extended. The boat was smashed, and the men were left in a cold squall clinging to the ferroconcrete piles for about half-an-hour until their shouting attracted the attention of Mr Adams, the night watchman on the Harbour Board's dredge. He went out to their assistance in a dinghey. Each man had got a pile to himself, one seated on top. By carefully backing the dinghey Mr Adams managed to rescue the men.
