Another effort will be made by the Government, this year, to put through the Public Health Act Amendment Bill introduced last session. It proposed to give the District Health Officer power to order the isolation of persons suffering from infectious diseases, in cases where no hospital is available; to give a board power to acquire lapd for a hospital; and to allow two or more boards to combine in providing and maintaining a sanatorium for consumptives. It is probable that there will be some additional clauses which experience has shown to be necessary, but substantially the Bill will be the same as that of last year. Wood's Great Peppermint Cure for Coughs and Colds never fails. Is 6d and 23 6d.
