BLACK-PREMYSLAV CONCERT.

A tribute to the growth of musical taste in Australasia is the fact that the very best artists in the world now visit the colonies. At the concert to be given this evening music lovers will have the pleasure of hearing two men admittedly in the very front rank, supported by two talented artists of exceptional merit. Mr Black is not only the possessor of a splendid voice, but in the matter of interpreting vocal music he has no superiors. His contributions to the evening's programme will be "Young Dietrich," "Non Piu Andrau," "When Thy Blue Eyes," "Blow, Blow, Thou Winter Wind," "The Land o'the Leal," and "Blue Bonnets Over the Border"—a very fine selection of songs with something to suit all tastes. "Better thanKubelik," say the critics, anjd indeed it is hard to imagine anything finer than the concord of sweet melody Leopold Premyslav obtains from his famous Guarnerius. His numbers will be: —"Carmen Phantaisie," "Humoresque" (Dvorak), "La Ronde des Lutins" (Brazzini), "Nocturne" (Chopin), and "Ziguenerweisen" (Sarasate). Miss Beattie will play—"Prelude," (Rachmaninoff) and "Windes. Flustern" (Saure), while Miss Buckmann will contribute "The Flower Song" from Faust, "The Rosary" (Nevin), "The Birth of Morn" (Leoni). The opportunity of hearing such a talented all-round combination rarely occurs and should result in a big attendance at the Town Hall to-night. The programme is distinctly a popular one, and the company have met with splendid receptions everywhere.
