STOCK MARKET.
Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., port on their Eketahuna sale, held v on Friday, June 21st, as follows: — There was a small yarding of both sheep and cattle. Bidding, was dull. We quote—Lambs to lis 2d, wethers 16s 9d, 3 year' steers £4 Bs, horses from £6 3s to £l4 ss. , Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report that they also held a sale on account of Mr. Von Reden, when satisfactory prices were realised. On Thursday, 20th inst., on account of Mr G. Williams, at his homsestead, near Eketahuna, they also had a very satisfactory private sale. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., held their horse sale at Masterton, on Saturday last, when upwards of fifty horses were submitted to a fair attendance of the public. The chief entry was in young hacks, offered on account Trustees McMastor's Matawhero Estate. For these there was good competition, prices for 4 and 5 year olds ranging from £l3 to £ls, 2 year olds £lO, aged ponies £2, pair aged buggy ponies £l3. For other entries there was a poor demand, as only those really in need of horses will purchase at this time of the year. A 5-year draught mare sold at £26 16s, trap horse £l6 10s, lightharness horses to £l2 ss, hacks to £9.
