LONDON MARKETS.
Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Wellington, have received the following cable messages from their London House, dated the 20th inst. : Butter—The Copenhagen official quotation is higher by 1 kroner (about Is l£d) per cwt. The market is unchanged in consequence of the very bad season. The total imports of butter into the United Kingdom for week ending the 15th instant amounted to 79,000cwt, as compared with,lo4,Qoocwt for the corresponding week of 1906. Exports of Canadian cheese are considerably smaller than usual, and there is practically no surplus butter at present. Frozen meat — Beet, sides, prices are lower by a farthing per lb. Frozen mutton and lamb—Any change in prices is in favour of buyers. Tallow —The market is unchanged. The demand is chiefly for low and inferior descriptions.
