MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
MASTERTON-THURSDAY. (Before Mr W. P. James, S.M.) William Heap, a second offender, pleaded guilty to a charge of drunkenness, and was fined 10s. in default 48 hours' imprisonment. Judgment for plaintiff by default was given in each of the following debt cases:— C. E. Daniell v. John McLeay, claim £7O Is 9d, costs £4 10s; H. A. Whelch v. Mrs Young, claim £5 Is lOd, judgment for. £4 13s Bd, costs 13s; A. C. Major v. W. Gillespie (Pahiatua), claim £3 10s. costs 12s; Krahagen and Chapman v. :C. Pilcher, .claim £3, costs. ss; Webb and Millar v. F. Secombe, claim £1 15s, costs 9s; Hugh Rea v. Haka Hakaraia, claim £ls 15s 4d, costs £3 2s 6d; Townsend > and Cowper v. George Oakley, claim £4 6s. costs 10s. In the judgment summons case W,F.C.A. v. James Liddington, a claim for £7 9s 9d, the defendant was ordered to pay 20s per month, first payment to be made on July Ist.
