LAND SALE AT WAIPUKURAU

MOUNT HERBERT HOMESTEAD BLOCK. An important land sale is announced to take place at Waipukurau, on Wednesday, July 3rd, when Messrs Horace Baker and Son, auctioneers, will hold a sub-divisional sale of thd well-known Mount Herbert Homestead Block, consisting of 2,200 acres. This estate is one of the earliest selected in Hawke's Bay; its stock are prize-winners and are known throughout New Zealand. Owing to the sub-division and settlement of the surrounding properties Waipukurau is fast becoming a most important centre in Hawke's Bay, the town itself having increased considerably during the past three years. The drained swamp consists of firstclass alluvial soil, making the best agricultural land. The property is divided into sections running up to 150 acres, and about 500 acres go with the homestead. Plans may be seen at the Age office after the 22nd inst. Attention is directed to the auctioneers' advertisement on page 8 of this issue.
