NATIONAL DAIRY ASSOCIATION.
By Telegraph—Press Association. PALMERSTON N., June 18. Mr J. M. Foreman predicted at th(; annual meeting of the National Dairy Association held to-day. It was shown that the turnover for the year had been to the value of £56,000 with £216 8s 4d profit. In his address the Chairman said that the Executive held the opinion that the action of the recently-formed Dairy Employees Industrial Union would result in injury to the factory industry. A resolution was passed urging upon the Government the advisability of again putting Mr Kirk's collection known as the Government agricultural museum on exhibit. It was resolved to ask the Government to appoint a dairy expert to examine and report upon tha state of butter and cheese on arrival in England. A resolution was also passed asking the Government to appoint inspectors of milk supplies to factories.
