The Thursday senior championship will be advanced a further stage, tomorrow. The Albion-Rover B match, to be played on the Masterton Show-'' grounds, promises to be an interesting fixture, as the Albions are showing improved form. The following team will represent Albion I. against over B, to-morrow, on the Showgrounds:—Coyle, Perry, Puru, Dunn, Long, J. Dew (captain), McKenzie, Hilton, Hunter, Donovan, J. Bentley, Keith, Griffith, Cole, Reeves; emergency, Kempton. Players are requested to be on the ground at 2.30 o'clock. The following will represent Albion 11. in their match with Eketahuna, at Eketahuna, to-morrow:— M. Miller, J. Berry, F. Fenwick, A. Jonep, H. Jones, G. Barr, Murphy, Jackson, Tomlin, Woods, T. The papers approve the proposal to keep the football team together after their return from Queensland, to give them an opportunity of securing the combination which is so necessary when opposed to New ZeaI antlers, and generally to improve their condition. The Rugby Union, last night, held an enquiry into the conduct of three Ahuriri players reported by the referee for threatening behaviour and using abusive! and indecent language. After a lengthy deliberation, the Union disqualified two of the men for life and one for two years. By Telegraph -Press Association. CHRTSTCHURCIf, June 18. At a meeting of the Canterbury Rugby Union Committee, to-night, the secretary reported that D. McGregor hud agreed to sign the declaration re having no connection with the professional team. It was decided to inform the West Coast Union that tho Canterbury Union could not send a team to the Coast at present.
