HOCKEY.
WAIRARAPA .ASSOCIATION. A special meeting of the Wairarapa Hockey Association was held iastjevening, in theY.M.C.A. Rooms. Mr F. Daniel presided, and delegates were present from the Kia Kaha, United, Knox, W.F.C.A., and Carterton Clubs. A letter was received from the New Zealand Hockey Association with reference to the proposal to obtain a shield for competition among the provincial teams. It was decided to agree with the proposal of the New Zealand Association. The Tui Club (Saturday) was affiliated to i the Association. It was decided that the representative team should tour Taranalci, Manawatu, and Wanganui this season. The team will leave Maoterton on July 2nd, and itjjis proposed to play Taranaki on July 3rd, Wanganui on July (3th, and Manawatu on July 10th.
