DAMAGE AT PORT RoVaL. WALLS OF TEMPORARY BUILDINGS COLLAPSE. SOLDIERS SERIOUSLY IN- ' JURED. , ; Received June 14, 9.47 p.m. NEW YORK, June 14. Word received from Kingston states that an earthquake from the south-east was especially severe at •Port Royal, destroying the walls of temporary buildings that were under construction there. * ■'' -. s During the dash for the open 40 of the Royal Garrison Artillery and Royal Engineers were injured, 11 seriously. Fifteen were conveyed to the hospital. - .The panic was intensified by the curious turbulence of the sea near the coast. Six soldiers of the West India Regiment were injured at Uppark, while making a similar dash. HOUSES AND RAILWAY BRIDGES DESTROYED. i _____ FIVE PERSONS KILLED. Received June 14, 9.47 p.m. VALPARAISO, June 14. An earthquake destroytd a number of houses and two railway bridges at Vafdina. Five persons were killed.
