On Saturday last Hukanui met and defeated Nireaha by 13 to nil, at Hukanui. Tries were obtained by Henry, Foss and Benge, two of which,, Morris converted. The.forwards Wfe'well-matche I. Of the Hukanui players Hem./ and Wells were the-pick. The Hukanui backs all played a good game, and outclassed their opponents. Mr Chatwin was i eferee. Mangatainoka defeated Hamua, at Hamua, by thf ee points (a tiry) to nil, after a very close and hard game. Connor scored the try for the winning team. Mr Smith was referee. The match between Hukanui and Mangatainoka, on Saturday : next, at Hukanui, should be very interesting.
