O'NEILL'S BUCK-JUMPERS.
Considerable interest has been manifested during the past few days in the first appearance of O'Neill's Buck-jumpers in Masterton on Tuesday evening next. The management offer a prize of £1 to any rider who can sit one of the "outlaws" one minute, and it is ' anticipated that several local riders will attempt to demonstrate that their horsemanship is sufficiently good to ensure their retaining a seat for the required time. These competitions will be held on each night of the season. Besides the exhibitions of roughriding given by the O'Neills and Miss Button, a number of novelties will be introduced, including "Mexican Bill," lassoo and lariat manipulator, the funny clowns, the highjumping mare Ruby, a champion boy rider, trained ponies "Sandow,"and "Silver Charmer."
