The Portuguese Parliament was dismissed a month ago, , but the King refuses to dismiss the Cabinet and igoverns by decree.The King remains in the Palace, ,and the Queen is subjected to insults when she appears puhlicly. Widespread protests have been vpiced against the King's.action. Many municipalities and newspapers urge ths people to;refuse to pay .taxes.' A deputation is visiting tPrince Mignel Braganza, ihe Pretender, at Vienna, who has already declared that he is willing to consider an. offer of the Throne if the revolutionary nKJVtiEient is successful.
