THE EDUCATION CONFERENCE.

The Education Conference are discussing the place history and geography should occupy in the scheme for education. Mr H. A. Fisher (New College,, Oxford) advised the Colonial Universities to study modern European history. He believed that Australian and Canadian newspapers revealed a great ignorance of European politics. Colonial Universities should be able to correct such ignorsince* The Government have been notified of the decision to arrange for an official Education Conference in 1911 as the first of a regular series.
