FIVE PERSONS BURNT TO DEATH.

Received June 2, 4.50 p.m. NEW YORK, Juno 1. A fatal fire occurred at Long Branch, New Jersey, at the summer residence of Mr Walter Schiffer, a wealthy cigar manufacturer. ivlr Schiffer and his wife, in trying to rescue others that were sleeping in the house, sustained terrible injuries. Two daughters of Mr Schiffer, and two servants and , a governess were burnt to death.
