STRAIGHT-GOERS WANTED.
(To the Editor). Sir, — After a famine comes a feast, and now we have the feast. Fifteen whole candidates, all alive and going strong at one election. Wouldn't old man Renall, say, "Hooray" if he were here. I hope the electors will turn out strong tomorrow, and do themselves proud. There is one thing that is a lot of nonsense, and that is the way some people are talking about this man's interest and that man's interest. Now, Sir, there are nine Trustees now, and if we get nine decent men, all with different interests, and going fair and above board, everybody will get a fair show. What is wanted is straight-goers, who know all about education, whether it is technical or any other kind, and what is best for the boys and girls, and who can organize the whole show. If we get this sort they can have all their own interests, and a good thing, too, and it will be the best day's work that we ever did for the old Trust. —I am/ UPPER PLAIN. May 22th.
