THE COURTHOUSE QUESTION.
(To the Editor.) Sir, —I do not propose to enter at length into the exchange site question. I do not attach much importance to the present controversy. The position is this—if the Government were in earnest in regard to building a suitable Courthouse for Matter ton, they have the land now on which to erect such "a building. It is absurd for Mr A. W. Hogg, M.H.RJ, to blame the Trustees of the Masterton Trust Lands Trust for the delay. If the people of Masterton are in earnest in wanting a Courthouse, let them agitate for it, and if the Government are willing the much-desired Courthouse will soon be built. There are several suitable sites—the present one, in fact, is gbod enough.—l am, etc.,
