LOYALTY OFJRAJPUTS AND SIKHS. , i Received May 22, 8.16 a.m. CALCUTTA, May 21. Pindilass, editor and proprietor of the native newspaper India, published in the, Punjab, has been arrested on a charge of inciting sepoys to mutiny. A great Rajput meeting at Patiala strongly condemned sedition, and applauded the vigorous, action of Sir Denzil Ibbetson, Lieutenant-Governor of the Punjab. The priests of the Golden Temple of Amritsar have issued a manifesto proclaiming the Sikhs' loyalty, expressing contempt for political agitators, and emphasising the good results of British rule.
