WELLINGTON ARBITRATION COURT.
By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, May 20. At the Arbitration Court, to-day, Wm. Wilson, for engaging a nonunionist, was fined £3 and costs, and for paying less than the minimum wage he was fined £2 and costs. Ernest Salisbury, butcher at Stokes' Valley, charged with not paying the minimum wage, was fined £3 and costs. Garrett and Company, Molesworth Street, for employing a lad at less than the stipulated wage, were fined £3 and costs. Roberts and Bassett, coal merchants, of Taranaki Street, were charged with employing a non-union-ist as driver, and were fined £3 and costs. Young and Sellers, carters, were charged with a like breach, and fined £3 and costs. Allan Maguire, for employing a non-unionist as labourer, was fined £3. J. Radford (furniture trade) was charged with not indenturing a boy, and was fined £5 and costs. Edward Collie (furniture trade), for employing a non-unionist, was fined £3 and costs. Price and Hutchings, bootmakers, charged with allowing work to be taken home and done away from their factox-y, were fined £1 and costs.
