At the wool sales the following were the average prices realised for the fleece portions of the clips named: - Richmond, 9|d; Kawarau, 10Ad; Poporangi, lljjd. The quantity sold to Homo buyers was 91,000 bales, Continental buyers 51,000 bales, and to United States buyers 4,000 bales. There were 15,000 bales hold over. Merinos met with strong demand throughout. All medium and best were close on G per cent, above March rate!-!. Short faultios barely maintained March rates. Crossbreds havo fully recovered tho'ononing decline. All classes aro now fully equal tojMarch rates. Good Merino lambs have advanced par to 5 per cent, and faulty has declined 5 per cent. Crossbreds have declined a halfpenny.
