CHRISTCHURCH SUPREME COURT.

CHRISTCHURCH, May 15. Michael Wall was found guilty at the Supreme Court, to-day; of assault atHalswell. He was sentenced to one month's imprisonment. Ernest Albert Stevens i was found guilty of assault with intent to rob, sentence being deferred till to-mor-row. Edith Matheson Malzard was found guilty of wilfully neglecting her infant child in ■ a ' manner • likely to cause injury to its health. Accused, who is addicted to drink. left the infant for several days in' the care of a girl of 14 years of age, while she was away from home, and was discovered finally suffering from helpless drunkenness. 1 ' Sentence was deferred till to-day.
