EXIT THE ANCHOR STROKE. Received May 15, 9.7 a.m. LONDON, May 14. The Billiard Association is formulating a rule to abolish the anchor stroke. (This stroke. is the invention of Lovejoy, and has given rise to the phenomenal breaks of the last two or three months. It was recognised from the first to bo doomed, not only because of the huge scores, but because it is a monotonous stroke of no spectacular value.) - -
