Telegraph—Press' Association. NEW PLYMOUTH, May 13. Interest in to-morrow's, election almost reached fever heat to-night. jhe Hon. J. Carroll addressed an overflowing audience in the Theatre Royal, in the interest of the Government candidate, Mr pockrill, appealing to the party to close the ranks to prevent a split in the vote which would let the Opposition win the seat. A vote of confidence in the Ministry fc and Mr pockrill was carried, the . meeting co "luding with alternate cheers for Mr Dockrill and Mr Malone, the Liberal candidates. with the Opposition Candida >, Mr Okey, addressed a somewhat smaller meeting in the Mill-Hall, the former dealing mainly 4#ith the Land Bill. A vote of thanks * was carried.
