STOCK MARKET.
Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report on their Eketahuna sale of Friday as follows:—A large yarding of both " sheep and , cattle, every available pen being full. A. good attendance of the public; but owing to the rain stock did not look at their best, and there was a slight drop in prices, except for three and four-year-old bullocks. We quote:— Ewes in lamb 13s lOd, 15s Id, 15s 3d and up to 16s lOd, cull ewes lis 5d to 12s id, lambs 10s to Us 7d, culls 8s 8d to 10s, wethers 16s 7d, 16s lOd to 17s, forward empty ewes 14s 9d. Cattle: Three and 4-year-oid bullocks (forward) £5 5s to £5 10s, store 3-year £4 10s to £4 12s 6d, 2h to 3-year steers £4 to £4 ss, 2year steers £3 10s, weaners to 15s, cows £2, forward cows £3 15s. I We also held a sale on MrjjCalton's farm at Newman, on Tuesday, 7th. Cows sold fairly well considering the time of the year, the average of those sold under the hammer being £4 7s. Milk cans, pigs, etc., brought fair prices.
