At'the Whangaimoana homestead, on Thursday, Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., conducted a most successful dispersal sale of cattle, horses, and dry sheep, together with implements and sundries, including a small list of furniture. The attendance of buyers was large, Hawke's Bay, Rangitikei, Manawatu, also the South Island being represented. The Shorthorn cattle were exceptionally good, in first-class condition and well drafted. Buyers were loud in their praise as to the quality submitted before them and the general arrangements made for the conduct of the sale, which were certainly creditable to the manager, Mr John Gillies. Business at auction was keen and animated right throughout the sale, the high prices realised being much in excess of anticipations.
