Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd.,report that at Palmerston N., on Thursday, they had an entry of about three thousand sheeD ' and six hundred cattle. There was a large attendance and good competition throughout the sale, the result being that very little went out unsold. Quotations—Fat wethers 17s 9d, fat and forward wethers 17s, fat and forward ewes 14s 4d, good lambs 12s Id to 12s 4d, cull lambs 7s 8d to 8s Id, ewes in lamb (mixed ages) 15s 6d to 16s, f.m. ewes in lamb 13s 7d to 14s Id, store ewes 7s 9d to 12s lid, 3-year steers £4 9s to £4 9s 6d, 2-year steers £3 5s to £3 13s, 18-month steers £2 7s to £3'ls, weaner steers 26s to 30s, mixed weaners 13s 6d to 20s, small weaners 5s 6d to 10s, fat cows £3 10s to £4 Is 6d, forward cows £2 10s to £3, store cows 25s to 30s. ' The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report on their Eketahuna stock sale, yesterday:— Sheep came forward in fair averages numbers, all classes being represented. Competition was not as brisk for sheep generally as at last sale, although wethers, empty ewes and fats maintained their values, aged ewes and poor lambs showing a'decline ■in price. We had a fair entry in cattle, all lines selling with the exception of cows and heifers, which class proved a drag. Fat ewes and wethers made Xss, best wethers 16s 2d, others 15s to 15s lOd, breeding ewes according to quality lis Id to 13s 6d, culls 5s to 8s 6d, best lambs 12s 6d, others 16s, culls Bs, small steers 565, 18month steers 425, weaners up to 20s, forward cows 45s to 50s, heifers 50s to 60s.
