Y.M.C.A.
A meeting of members of the Y.M.C.A. was held in the'frooms, last evening, to make arrangements for the forthcoming Village Fair. The general secretary (Mr A. E. Rees) presided over a good attendance. It was reported that the bazaar was being well supported. The various side-shows were arranged, and the following committees wei'e appointed: — Programme committee: Messrs Alex. Donald (convenor), P. L. Hollings, S. Earee, S. Hogg and Rev. A. T. Thompson; stall committee, Messrs L. Daniell (convenor), J. Turnbull and A. Williams; side-show committee, Messrs W. Kemp (convenor), E. Burrows, H. Falloon, W. L. Joy, D. Herbenton; guessing competitions committee, Messrs E. Burrows (convenor), C. Gaily, D. La Roche, J. Berry; shooting gallery, Mr C. Fielding; village well, Messrs R. Hatch and D. La Roche; book stall, Mr D. Herbenton. The ladies have arranged two fancy stalls, a plain sewing stall, sweets stall, produce stall, and flower and refreshment stall. It was decided to hold an amateur photographic competition in connection with the Fair, the judging to be done by the public. The election of other officers was left over /to a future meeting.
