HASTINGS TRAINING NOTES. By Telegraph—Press Association. HASTINGS, May 6. The weather was fine but the course was heavy for training operations this morning. Rosie beal Oak bourne over five furlongs. Mystification was in front of Land o' Not at the end of a mile and a quarter, Downfall and Loftus finished together at the end of six furlongs, run ir lmin 23sec, Grand Slam beat Flamen over a mile, and Swimming Belt was better than Flamen, over six furlongs, covered in lmin 22sec. Polyanthus and Mecca fiinished abreast at the end of six furlongs. Hipporofla beat Operetta and Lyrist at the end of seven furlongs. Chatterar and Remark were behind Fairland at the end of a six furlong journey, and Gold Crest beat Gauze over six furlongs run in lmin 23sec. Linkiess was better than Culmination at the end of five furlongs. Moriarity ran four outside of the course in 52sec. Gaiety beat Black Reynard at the encl of six furlongs in lmin 23sec. Volume was given slow work. The majoritjr of the visiting horses have arrived. Kurawaka, Swimming Belt, Guaze, Gold Crest, Riflemaid, Kitchenmaid, Moscow, F)amen, Monardo, and Gawain arrived on Saturday night. The double machine will be used on the Cup and Parangahau Handicap on the first day, and the Burke Memorial and Scurry on the Seconal day.
