STOCK MARKET.
Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., held their fortnightly sale at the Pahiatua yards, on Tuesday, when there was a heavy entry of cattle, and a very fair yarding < f sheep. Cattle were chiefly represented by empty he ( ifers and cows, for which there was no inquiry. All stears with the exception of one line were disposed of, and all sheep j found purchasers. Fat and forward 2 and 4-tooth wethers reached 17s, fat und forward mixed age wethers 16s 6d, s.m. ewes in lamb 16s, good fat and forward ewes 14s 2d, cull ewes Bs, 18-month steers 50s to 52s 6d, 2J-year steers 735, 15-month steers 455.
