MADAME BLANCHE ARRAL.
Judging by the Press criticisms of the concerts given by Madame .Blanche Arral, and her Concert Company, the people of Masterton have in store a great musical treat, in the grand opera recital to be given in the Town Hall, on Monday evening next. The New Zealand Times says "Madame's .repertoire includes all those" jewels of song which is the ambition of every diva to attempt, and in which only the most brilliant natural endowments perfected by careful and assiduous cultivation under the best masters can hope to succeed. Madame in herself is a master." The programme at Masterton will include some well-known gems of grand opera, such as "Si J. Etais Roi," "Carmen," "Faust," . "Manolo," "Serenade de Gounod," "Huguenots" and selections from Thomas' famous opera "Mignon," as well as several English compositions. Mme. Arral will be supported in all her songs by a number of picked instrumentalists, including Herr Paans, the brilliant violitiist, and Signor Torzllio, the celebrated harpist. _ The box plan is now open at Miss Rive's.
