THE HAGUE CONFERENCE.
Received April 23, 11.32 p.m. LONDON, April 23. ' It is officially announced that Sir Edward Fry, Sir E. Satow, Lord Reay and Sir H. Howard will be the British delegates at the Hague Convention. The names of the naval military experts will be announced later.
LIMITATION OF ARMAMENTS. Received April 23, 10.18 p.m. LONDON, April 23. A meeting held at Newcastle urged an international limitation of armaments. Sir Henry Campbell-Bannerman wrote to the meeting, stating that "whatever difficulties were in the way we must hope that there will be no retrogression, and that the general desire for relief prevalent in Europe would find expression at the Hague Conference." Lord Weardale stated that Britain was pressing the proposal for the limitation of armaments. He believed that the United State's and France would support the proposal.
