A STEAMER FOUNDERS.
SIXTY-FIVE PEOPLE DROWNED
Received April 22, 10.25 p.m. ST. PETERSBURG, April 22. The steamer Archangelsh, with eighty passengers on board, while crossing the Neva River in a snowstorm, struck an icefloe and foundered almost immediately. The pasengers fought for the few lifebelts on the vessel. A passing vessel rescued twelve men and three women. The remainder were carried away by th 9 current and drowned.
