To the Ratepayers of Masterton. Ladies and gentlemen.—i regret to state that owing to pressure of business, I will not be a candidate at the forthcoming Council Election. Several deputations urged me to offer myself for re-election, but I iind business will necessitate my being away from Masterton a good deal during this year, and rather than misa attending tho Council meetings, I feel it incumbent upon me to stand down and allow others who will be ablo to attend to give you their services. I will no doubt offer mysolf again at some future data, when I know that I can attend overy meeting and so keep in touch with all work, which is absolutely necessary with Councillors. Thanking you for your support in the past, I am, Yours faithfully, T. G. HOAR.
