STOCK MARKET.
Messrs Dalgety and Company, Limited, held their fortnightly sale at Pahiatua on Tuesday, when about 2,500 sheep and 130 head of cattle were yarded. There was; a good enquiry for sheep, only two lines of ewes being unsold. The quality of cattle was not so good as at last sale, and consequently the demand was not so brisk. A line of 450 forward 2 and 4 tooth wethers sold at IGs 3d, small 2 tooth ewes and wethers 13s 6d, woolly rape lambs 12s, woolly store lambs ys 8d to 10s sd, culls 6s 3d, shorn store lambs 9a 4d, forward empty ewes 12s 6d, soundmouth breeding ewes 13s 3d to 14s Id, mother-reared weaners 345, 18 month and 2 year steers 535, fat cows 955, 18 month steers 50s, 3 year steers 87s 6d.
