Also two other cargoes at 30s l£d and 30s 7Jd respectively. Hides are ' neglected. Best heavy Sydneys 6§d. Leather is in bad condition; first Wellington, lid. Basils declined a halfpenny. Sheep. Canterbury, light 4d, medium 3 15 7 16 d, heavy 3§d. Other sorts unchanged. Lambs—Canterbury, light 5Jd, medium 5 7-16 d, heavy 51d. Others are not quoted. New Zealand beef, 1801b to 2201b, fair average quality, ox fores 2|d, ox hinds 3&d. River Plate.— Sheep unchanged. Beef fores 2|d, hinds 3Jd.
