EGG-LAYING.
UTILITY CLUB'S COMPETITION. By Telegraph—Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, April 8. The official report for the week ending April sth in connection with the Utility Poultry Club's second egg-laying competition at Lincoln College, shows that 313 eggs were laid during the week, bringing the total to date to 52,002. The best totals for the week were: -M. Blanch (Silver Wyandottes) 27, J. Steer (White Wyandottes) 18, J. A. Mills (White Wyandottes) 16, P. O'Brien, (Silver Wyandottes) 16. The highest totals to date were : M. Blanch (Silver Wyandottes) 1,130, J. Ashton (Silver Wyandottes) 858, F. O'Brien (Silver Wyandottes) 843.
