STOCK MARKET.
Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Masterton stock sale, held yesterday, as follows: — The yarding of sheep was well up to the average; the quality was, however, irregular, consequently bidding was somewhat in and out. A large entry of lambs met with animated comDetition, and prices ruled in favour of sellei-s. All good sorts of ewes and wethers sold up to late rates. Only two small lots were turned out i.nsokl at the end of the sale. A fair number of cattle were yarded, but bidding was slow and very few sales were made. We quote: —Sheep—2tooth wethers 14s 6d to 15s 9d, fat ewes 13s 9d to 14s 9d, forward ewes lis 6d to 13s 6d, store ewes 8s 6d to 10s 6d, best 2- tooth ewes 16s 9d, others 13s to 14s 9d, breeding ewes 15s, 14s, 13s lid, 13s 3d, 13s Id, 13s down to 12s, best shorn lambs lis lOd, other shorn 8s to 10s 9d, woolly 9s to 10s lid, culls 5s to 5s 9d. Cattle —Store cows £2 Is to £3, best calves 32s 6d, others 12s to 15s.
