FATAL GUN ACCIDENT.

By Telegraph—Press Association. CHRISTCHUKCH, April 3. A fatal gun accident occurred at Cheviot on Sunday. Mr Thomas Dalgety, aged 23 years, son of Mr William Dalgety, of McMillan Road, Cheviot, left his father's house with a gun at eleven o'clock, and was again seen alive. Search parties were out all night, and the body was discovered not more than a mile and a half from the house. It was evident from the position in which the body was found that the deceased had jumped a small creek, and his gun had gone off, killing him instantaneously.
