WELLINGTON TENNIS TOURNAMENT.

The Wellington Provincial Lawn Tennis Tournament was continued to-day, all the games being finished with the exception of the Combined Championship Doubles, the finals of which will be decided to-morrow morning. The results are as follow: —Men's Championship Singles.—Cox beat Laishley, 6—3, 6—4. Ladies' Championship Singles—Miss Nunnelly beat Miss Wellwood, 6—l, 6—3. Ladies' Championship Doubles r—Misses Powdrell and Travers beat Misses Nunnelly and Wellwood, 4—6, 6—3, 6 —3. ' Men's Handicap Singles (first grade)—H. Brown (8) beat Redward (18), 60—50. Men's Hahdicap Doubles— Wallace and Dickie (scr) beat Ebbett and Adams (15), 70—63. Ladies' Handicap Doubles—Misses Davis and Williams (30) beat Misses Ward and E. Williams (owe 5), 50—47. Combined Handicap Doubles—Miss Travers and Brown (3) beat Miss Williams and Clarke, 50 —48. In the morning the winners of the semi-finals of the Combined Championship Doubles between Miss Ward and Cox and Miss Travers and Brown have to meet Miss Nunnelly and Adams in the final. Smythe and Sloman have to meet Cox and Fisher in the final of the Men's Championship Doubles.
