DREYERTON SPORTS CLUB.
TENTH ANNUAL MEETING. (Special Reporter). The tenth annual meeting of the Dreyerton Sports Club wai held at Jtopuaranga yesterday. The. weather was beautifully fine until about 4.80 o'clock, when heavy rain aet in, and several events on the programme had to be abandoned. There was a large number of visitors present, principally from Masterton. All the events were well contested, and some close finishes were witnessed. The starter (Mr J. C. McKillop) got his fields away .in capital style. The Dreyerton Handicap was won by W. Bannister, with seven points, P. H. Holmes being second with five points. All committee worked hard, and much of the success of the meeting was due to the efforts of the secretary, Mr G. A. Donovan. The Masterton South Band rendered a number of selections during the day.
