WORKMEN'S HOMES.
(To the Editor). Sir, —It is proposed to call a meeting of those interested in the establishment of workmen's homes, on Friday next. Mr Hogg, M.H.R., Mr Coradine, and others will probably attend and address the meeting, and will give expression of their views as to the many attendant benefits that will accrue from the establishment of such homes. Although I feel strongly tempted to give vent to my own views upon this very important matter, it would not be good taste on my part at the present juncture to do so, as it would be unfair to those who intend to address the meeting. However, I may intimate that it is intended at the meeting to form a Workmen's ~ Home League. If such a league be accomplished, it will, without apy manner of dbubt, prove to the Minister of, Labour that such homes are required by the working men of Masterton. It is to be hoped that those who are immediately interested will attend the meeting.—l am, etc., JOHN MACKAY. Masterton, March 30th, 1907.
