EXPLOSION OF DYNAMITE.

FIFTY-FOUR MEN KILLED. PRETORIA, March 30. A serious explosion of dynamite occurred, yesterday, at the Drietfontein Consolidated Mine, on the Rand. The men employed in the mine were being mustered when two cases of dynamite exploded, with terrific force. Four whites and fifty natives were killed, and three whites and sixteen natives injured. It is surmised that the explosion was caused through some natives tampering with the dynamite.
