FINANCIAL PANIC IN NEW YORK.
GENERAL LACK OP CONFIDENCE. Received March 27, 7.30 a.m. NEW YORK, March 26. A violent collapse on the New York Stock Exchange carried prices in some instances below the recent panic rate. A serious fall in the metal groups contributed. There is less tightness of money than general lack of confidence.
