THE CHURCH COUGH.
J Persons who will sit out a play or listen to an uninteresting conversation without coughing seem to be seized as soon as they compose themselves to hear a sermon, with distressing irritation of the windpipe that can be relieved only by violent aid continued coughing. The affection is contagious, spreading from S3at to seat, cough answering unto cough. As far as we know, the etiology of this strange disease has not received attention fom the scientific investigator.—British Medical Journal.
