RECORD RABBIT TALLY.

There, was a record rabbit tally at the Mataura Freezing Works on Monday, 1,222 crates containing 31,0f10 rabbits being put through., When it is considered that trappers receive 6d per pair at the roadside and the timber and labour in the cases and the cartage are added, it is seen that the industry puts considerable money in circulation. Many rabbi ters are making from 12s to 18s per day.
