IMPORTANT REFORMS. Received March 26, 11.54 p.m. LONDON, March 26. ; Sir Henry Campbell-Bannerman, in a letter to Mr H. Walter, a member of the House of Commons, said that the Government would do their utmost to press forward the Bills relating to small holdings and rural housing, which were two indispensable reforms; also the Scottish Land Bill, which ought to have a far-reach-ing effect in checking the exodus ( from the land. But it was almost too much to expect the land system of England, Scotland and Wales to be reformed in a single session. Moreover, there were indications of j a severe struggle on these questions in both Houses.
